A Letter To You

My Dearest Beauties,

Since it is my sole mission for BeautyTherapy.Life to act as a platform serving our collective growth, healing and blossoming, I want to know what YOU need. What would you like to know?

Speak up! You matter to me, to yourself and to us all!

What do you want to talk about? What experts do you want advice from? What areas of your life can I help you improve? What can I do to make your life more beautiful?

I’m not messing around here! This is a community, and the heartbeat of this community is you. I’m simply the conduit to all of the topics, experts, bloggers and more. Content is key and I want to make sure that I’m connecting with each and every one of you watching, reading and visiting my page.

Nothing is off limits!

Let’s make sure we cover topics with depth and gravity, but let’s also have fun! I welcome the emotional, heavy and profound conversations, as much as I adore the light-hearted, comical and laid-back.

My hope is that we are all interactive and involved as a community of women who want to empower one another. In a perfect world YOU relay to me what moves you, soothes you and inspires you to be a better Beauty.

What inspires me is making a positive difference in the world and in the lives of others —  no matter how big or small.  And before you get all ‘typical beauty queen answer’ on me, let me expand.

My desire to help others in fact does date back to my beauty queen days of working with different charities and philanthropic organizations. I absolutely loved making appearances at various events, all the while connecting and diving into deep conversations with new people. I love sharing the currency of inspiration. We all have a story, but we must be willing to listen in order to hear it. Some of my most cherished memories are of young girls trying on my Miss Virginia USA crown, smiling ear to ear and feeling (if even just for a moment) like they were a real life princess. I equally cherish the memory of playing basketball, cooking and laughing with the young children of the Best Buddies Organization — how the participants of all ages would put their trust in me, opening up about their own lives. These are just a few of the many stories and memories that will long survive any rhinestone crown I’ve ever won. These are the moments that to this very day, almost 10 years after I hung up my pageant heels, continue to move me to my core.

And now it’s time to create new stories, to undertake new experiences, connect with more people, places and things. To hear YOUR stories. While you may not wish to try on an old crown, you may hold a deep desire to try on a more authentic, peaceful and beautiful lifestyle — a renewed and improved YOU. And that’s something we can all help one another to achieve through our own personal stories.

So let’s talk, Beauties! I can’t wait to hear from you. Please comment below about what YOU want to talk about, right here on BeautyTherapy.Life.

Share your stories! You may just be hand-picked to be featured on an upcoming blog or vlog!

xoxo,

This is my main issue at the sweet age of 68! I believe my husband is rubbing Rogaine under my chin and nose, after I go to sleep each night! I have become the breaded lady! I don’t want to shave with the razors for such, I can’t pluck because I can’t see them, and I can’t afford electrolysis! I have even tried to get my husband, you can’t see either, to help; I have even recruited small children to join in on the plucking! They were pretty good but lost interest quickly! How about the hair removers? Do they work? Will they leave the applied skin looking like I have a second degree sunburn? I used hair exfoliate about 30 years ago and the smell was atrocious! Give it up Little Sister! Should I just keep my chin mane, since my husband and I can’t see it? JBM
